FIRE MATTERS | THIRD PARTY CERTIFICATION

Third party certification is an assessment carried out to ensure compliance with publicly available specification, such as the Building Fire Safety Regulations, the National Construction Code and Australian Standards.
Importantly, the assessment is carried out by an independent, third party organisation that is qualified and licensed to issue certification when the assessment is successfully completed.

This means that rather than an organisation or company claiming to comply with industry standards, they have taken their commitment to quality and safety further and invited in an external independent third party to verify that their fire safety obligation indeed comply with the legislated requirements and industry standards.

Whilst it is not a requirement, it only makes good sense for all those involved in the design, installation, commissioning, handover and maintenance of Fire Safety Systems to ensure Third Party Certification
